In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus preaches about the identity of Christians in the kingdom of heaven. The beatitudes present us with heavenly values that are at odds or reveal the upside down kingdom heart we are to have towards God and others. Though we are almost 2000 years away from Jesus speaking these words, the Sermon on the Mount continues to apply to our lives in 2025. May the Holy Spirit lead us to repentance and lead us into obedience of Jesus's word.
