In the last chapters of the book of Daniel, there is a repetition of future events revealed to Daniel about the coming kings and kingdoms ahead that will oppose the people of Israel. However, there is also further explanation that behind the scenes (or in the spiritual realm), there is a great war that takes place between angels and demons. All of these images and visions are so overwhelming to Daniel, but there is still the constant refrain of the book that God is on His throne in control of everything and He (and His saints) will have the final victory.
