Herb Pedersen

Pastor

Dr. Herbert (Herb) L. Pedersen helped start Longbranch as a mission church of First Baptist Church of Oak Cliff back in 1993. He has pastored for over 50 years and was previously Director of Missions at the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Herb earned a Doctorate of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Doctorate of Divinity from Dallas Baptist University and post doctoral work from Oxford University-England. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Baptist University. Herb and his wife, Barbara, have three adult daughters, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Craig McBroom

Worship Leader

Craig McBroom has been involved in our music ministry since his family joined LCBC in 2000 and became our Worship Leader in 2007. He serves as our bi-vocational worship leader and works in the IT world for BancTec during the week. Craig and his wife, Melanie, have two adult daughters and one granddaughter. David Thorman

Activities Minister

David Thorman became the Activities Minister in 2017. He began working in Youth Ministry six years ago. Now David is using those skills as the Activities Minister. David began his degree at Texas State University and is finishing it at WGU. He is bi-vocational and also works with the Mansfield Independent School District during the week in the Special Education Department. David's wife Clayton assists him in working with the youth. Bill Nicholson

Student Coordinator

Bill Nicholson is a founding member of Longbranch. In addition to serving as the Student Coordinator, sings with the Praise Team, helps with administrative tasks, and helps with the maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Angie Cagle

Financial/Office Administrator

Angie Cagle is a founding member of Longbranch. She has served in the church office since 2002. Angie received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1989. In addition to her work at Longbranch, she works part time for Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation and Fitness as a personal trainer/exercise specialist. Angie sings with the Praise Team. Melissa Stephenson

LCBC Preschool Coordinator

Melissa Stephenson has been involved in our Preschool Ministry since joining our church in 2003. She has worked in Preschool and Children's Ministry for over 20 years. Barbara Boldway

Parent's Day Out Director

Barbara Boldway has been involved in Parents Day Out as a teacher since 2011. In 2015, she became the Assistant Director and in 2016 she became the Director. Barbara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Sociology at Dallas Baptist University in 2008. She has worked with children for 15 years and in Preschool and Children's Ministry for 10 years. Barbara has three children. Contact her by email at pdo.lcbc@att.net.


Karen Winant

Parent's Day Out Assistant Director

Karen Winant has joined our Parent’s Day Out team as an Assistant Director.Karen is a devoted mother of 3 children and 2 step children.She, and husband John, have been very active in Longbranch for several years, and are currently part of theWednesday night meal crew. Karen has been working with children for 10 years, working in the Nursery, Children’s SundaySchool classes, leading Children’s Church classes, Vacation Bible School classes and assisting in AWANA. Karen has had the demanding role of stay-at-home mom for 10 years, and has dedicated her life to raising children in a Christ-centered environment. Prior to being a stay-at-home mom, Karen worked at GuideStone Financial Resources for 9 years. Many of those years in the Information Technology field. Karen received a Bachelor of Science degree from Dallas Baptist University in 2001.
