OUR ADULT MINISTRIES

No matter your stage or season of life, we want you and your family to join us!

You are always welcome here at Longbranch.

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY promotes the fellowship and spiritual growth of all of our adults.  The morning begins as a time of social interaction with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, donuts, and kolaches.  People are free to attend any class.  We do offer a separate ladies class, a class that includes young adults, and a class for senior adults.  Curriculum is at the discretion of the leader and the class.   Some classes are topical, while others focus on individual books of the Bible.

SENIOR LUNCH BUNCH meets on the first Thursday of every month at noon for a potluck luncheon followed by games.

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES are periodically offered on a variety of subjects, depending on interest.  At times, there are small groups that meet on Sunday evenings.

MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM MINISTRY is carried out through our Missions and Evangelism Committee.  Missions and evangelism have always been a primary focus of our church.  We continually look for opportunities to reach out to individuals or groups to share the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

DEACON FAMILY MINISTRY is a shared effort between the deacons and the pastor in caring for the families of the church.  Each deacon develops a personal relationship with a small group of families, so that ministry needs become known and lovingly addressed.  The main function of the deacon body is to promote the health, welfare, and fellowship of the church.

WORSHIP MINISTRY seeks to create an environment of praise and worship that is Christ-centered and participatory.  We seek creative ways to present the Gospel and worship our Lord through music, Scripture, prayer, and the administration of the biblical ordinances.

PRAYER MINISTRY provides the foundation for all of our other efforts.  It is coordinated through our Prayer Team, and it deals with individual needs as well as any need that God puts on our hearts.  It is an effort to remain in close communication with God, to listen to Him, and to do His will.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY is closely coordinated with the overall Prayer Ministry, but this group meets twice monthly to discuss needs and pray for individuals.  Members of this group then continue the effort by praying for an individual while they knit or crochet shawls or throws that will provide comfort for the person during the time of need.

MEN'S MINISTRY is designed to make our men better Christ followers, husbands, fathers, employees, employers, sons, brothers, and friends.  The long term vision of our Men's Ministry is to train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their families, in our church, and in the community.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY of Longbranch exists to nurture women by means of the Word, praise, prayer, fellowship, service, and outreach, so that each woman grows in her devotion to Christ and becomes an instrument of His love and grace in all her relationships.
